Katie joined the Law Office of Mary Beth Harrell in November 2018 as an associate attorney. She is passionate about criminal defense. Katie’s primary focus is defending clients charged with non-DWI misdemeanor offenses.

Katie graduated from Baylor Law School, where she completed the Criminal Law Track. Katie helped establish and served as the vice president for the Criminal Law Society at Baylor Law School. While in law school, Katie also participated in a Mediation Clinic and completed the requirements to become a trained mediator in Texas.

Katie serves on the Advisory Board for the Paralegal Program at Central Texas College. She is also a member of the Bell County Young Lawyers Association, Bell County Bar Association, Bell County Women’s Bar Association, and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Katie graduated from Texas A&M University – Central Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Prior to attending law school, Katie was a paralegal for four years. Katie worked at the City Attorney’s Office in Temple, Texas. She worked closely with the City Prosecutor. Katie also interned at the Bell County Attorney’s Office for several months. Her experience working with prosecutors provides valuable insight when defending her clients.
